Enrique Gomeztagle, 31, was pronounced after he was found unresponsive in his cell on Jan. 29, CDCR said. Kevin T. Langston, 34, Gomeztagle’s cellmate, was placed in restricted housing following the incident.
Officers conducting security rounds found Gomeztagle around 5:04 p.m., according to CDCR. Emergency medical personnel conducted life-saving measures but pronounced Gomeztagle dead at 5:34 p.m.
