Deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to the 2500 block of Sierra Highway in Rosamond for the report of a victim of a shooting around 10:30 p.m. March 30.
When deputies arrived a man was found dead with gunshot wounds, according to KCSO.
Officials said homicide detectives responded and began an investigation.

The man was taken to the hospital and was listed as critical, according to BPD. He later died on March 16.
In a statement on Monday, officials said officers saw a “blacked-out vehicle” fleeing the area minutes after the ShotSpotter activation. Officers stopped the vehicle with three people inside and recovered a weapon.
The suspects were identified as Brayden Mendez, Alexa Marmolejo and Joshua Holguin — all 18 years old — according to BPD.

Hall met him in a parking lot on the corner of Lincoln and North Chester, where shots were fired.

Incident: Initial reports of a shooting came to police at around 11:10 a.m. for an assault possibly with a firearm on Chester W. Nimitz Street north of Panama Lane, Sgt. Sandeep Malhi said. Shortly after that call, dispatchers received a call for a shooting victim near Golden Valley High School at Hosking Avenue and Shannon Drive.
A third shooting victim was located in the 4100 block of Pioneer Drive, Malhi said. The investigation into the incident is in the preliminary stages, he said.

The Bakersfield Police Department said officers were called to a home in the 3700 block of El Alisal Street at around 10:11 p.m. for a welfare check of a man who was involved in a disturbance at a home. The department said the man was threatening family members.

Incident: Two 17-year-old boys were arrested in connection to an alleged robbery and shooting at a Bakersfield Foods Co. store Friday, Jan.2 night that left a victim who tried to intervene dead, officials said.
Bakersfield police said officers were called to the Foods Co. at 1801 White Lane for reports of a shooting at around 9:23 p.m. on Jan. 2.
According to police, the shooting stemmed from an alleged robbery inside the Foods Co. Police said the victim and another person were inside the store when they saw the theft and tried to intervene. The two people followed the suspects outside the store and into the parking lot, police said.
One of the 17-year-old suspects pulled out a gun and fired multiple times toward the two people, striking one of them, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
